Weekly Leagues Run/Facilitated by The Disc Golf Experience

Please bring cash to pay for league whenever you want to attend. There is no pre-payment required so come as frequently as you want but only pay for those weeks you attend. We do have a clause in most leagues that drop your 2-3 worst rounds (or allow you to miss 2-3 weeks without hurting your chances to compete for the seasonal trophies). I do highly recommend that you attend at least 75% of the weeks in a session if you plan to compete for the season. Payouts for each league are done the following week (or whenever you show up next). Payout for amateurs is in vouchers redeemable at The Disc Barn or from the 500 or so discs I carry with me in parks I am approved for selling. Some leagues have a PRO division where their payouts are in cash. All league scores are posted on Disc Golf Scene.

Mondays:

  1. Manic Mondays – Valley View – Two ten week sessions starting in Late March through August. Every week is a unique format to get you too approach the game and this course differently. Players are placed in an appropriate division for their skill level and they compete against each other on a weekly basis and for the 10 week session. Cost is $6 ($4 for Women’s and Junior’s Divisions) plus an optional $1 Ace Pool.
  2. Discin’ In The Dark – Valley View – One twelve week session starting the Monday after Labor Day through November. We provide lights for the baskets (to make putting easier) and you can purchase glow discs or small LED lights to tape to your disc so you don’t lose your discs at night. Lots of fun can be had when you cannot see the trees you are trying to throw around! Come join in this unique league. Cost is $6 ($4 for Women’s and Junior’s Divisions) plus an optional $1 Ace Pool

Tuesdays:

  1. Tuesday Morning League – Valley View – Two 10 week sessions starting around April 1st going through August. 9:00 AM Start. This league is the only organized morning league in the Milwaukee area which allows 2nd and 3rd shift workers and anyone who is free during the morning rather than the afternoons a chance to play organized disc golf. Cost is $6 ($4 for Women’s and Junior’s Divisions) plus an optional $1 Ace Pool

Wednesdays:

  1. Take Me To The River – Root River Parkway – Two 10 week sessions starting when Milwaukee County puts the courses back in after the spring thaw (usually May 1st). Cost is $6 ($4 for Women’s and Junior’s Divisions) plus an optional $1 Ace Pool plus an additional $1 Birdie Club (You must birdie 5/5 randomly picked holes to win the entire pot, or if it is over $200 and nobody hits 5/5 then anyone hitting 4/5 will win 10% of the pot.) This league is Sponsored by Explorium Brew Pub and we give out 1 3 pack of Crowlers per week via CTP contest to anyone over 21.
  2. Sussex Slingers – Sussex Village Park – Two 10 week sessions starting after the thaw (usually mid April to Early May). This league is sponsored by Sussex Bowl and Sussex Liquor. They cover the entire permit fee ($500) for both 10 week sessions essentially saving all of you $1 per week so patronize their businesses and thank them for supporting disc golf! Cost is $5 ($4 for Women’s and Junior’s Divisions) plus an optional $1 Ace Pool.

Wednesdays (WINTER ONLY):

  1. Abominable Snowman League – Course undecided (most likely Root River or Valley View) – This is the only area handicap league where you are essentially playing against your own scoring average on a weekly basis. SO if you beat your average by more than other people compared to their average you will be one of the weekly winners. The reason we do a handicap league is because attendance is not big enough to justify 2 or 3 divisions like we normally have in other leagues. Cost is $6 for all players plus an optional $1 ace pool, and an additional $1 Mulligan. Money raised from mulligans goes directly into my next course development project!

Thursdays:

  1. Delafield Discers – Oakwood Community Park – Two 10 week sessions starting around April 1st after the spring thaw. This is a very beginner friendly course (more-so in spring). New concrete tee-pads on all long and short tee-pads should be completed in 2019. Cost is $6 ($4 for Women’s and Junior’s Divisions) plus an optional $1 Ace Pool. $1 donation per person goes back to the course improvements!!!!!
  2. THumpday THuckers (Adjusted the name slightly after the move from Wednesdays) – Estabrook Park – Two 10 week sessions starting when Milwaukee County puts the courses back in after the thaw (usually around May 1st). Cost is $6 ($4 for Women’s and Junior’s Divisions) plus an optional $2 Ace Pool and an additional $2 optional Birdie Club (You must birdie 5/5 randomly picked holes to win the entire pot, or if it is over $200 and nobody hits 5/5 then anyone hitting 4/5 will win 10% of the pot.)

Saturdays (WINTER ONLY):

  1. Saturday Snow Throwers – Valley View – One twelve to sixteen (depending on weather) week session starting the first week of December and running through March. We are die-hards but Valley View is a quick winter round. We usually have the tee-pads shoveled and salted before league so footing is decent. Cost is $6 ($4 for Women’s and Juniors Divisions) plus an optional $1 Ace Pool and an additional $1 Mulligan.

Sundays (WINTER ONLY):

  1. Sunday Snow Throwers – Dretzka Winter Course – One twelve to sixteen week session (depending on weather) starting the first week of December and running through March. This league is not for the faint of heart . . . if you think you can handle 27 holes in all conditions . . . come join us for the fun! Cost is $6 ($4 for Women’s and Juniors Divisions) plus an optional $1 Ace Pool and an additional $1 Mulligan. Money raised from mulligans goes directly into my next course development project!

Would you like to see a new type of league, or a league at a new location or time?

I am open to new ideas for leagues as well as new locations or times but I feel like we already have a really good amount of leagues in the area so my goal would be to only diversify from those leagues above if it doesn’t conflict with the other leagues or draw people from one to another. Decent attendance (25 or more) is what makes leagues more fun for everyone so to take people from another league just to start another one does not make much sense . . . but if the need is out there and we can still add another league without reducing attendance at the others, please reach out to me to discuss your ideas.
